In 2015, Alicia be a part of the selection procedure for FilmStruck a TCM streaming service. Malone recorded Robert Osborne's and Ben Mankiewicz's intros, and then read them out loud before cameras prior to her TCM broadcasting channel hosting audition. When she was a part of the auditions in 2017, she was hired by the Turner Classic Movies network hired her in the following year. Malone discussed the struggles that women face when it comes to film production during two separate TEDx talks.
