Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she turned sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
