Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working on TV and in films is well known for movies like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Alexandra is well known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. This includes the British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. In addition, she was part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
